Lahore - October 17th, 2019: YP2G in collaboration with Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), conducted a live webinar on “Developing a Can Do Attitude" on October 17th. This one hour webinar was delivered online by Mr. Neville Gaunt, Global Chairman of YP2G and CEO MindFit Ltd. UK from London and Mr. Ali Jafri, Country Head Pakistan YP2G from Islamabad. Faculty members of numerous engineering universities under the patronage of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) attended this live interactive webinar from all over Punjab.
The webinar critically reviewed and analysed the global engagement challenges being faced by the organizations and what measures are being taken to effectively enhance productivity and overall engagement by changing attitudes. Mr. Neville Gaunt, particularly highlighted Pakistan and how significantly the engagement level is low which is standing close to only 10%. To increase this engagement level, Mr. Gaunt emphasized the importance of developing Can Do Attitude through Behavioural Waste(TM) Management.
Mr. Ali Jafri, in 2nd half of the webinar spoke about the thinking process and how to tackle negative thoughts through Behavioural Waste Management. It renders individuals to become more of a Can Do person by developing the positive attitude and minimizes their Can't Do and Won't Do Attitudes. He further localized the content by mentioning few case studies through spiritual quotient and linked the relevancy of remedies by quoting verses from Al Qura'n.
Around 45 faculty members attended this live webinar. The session was moderated on floor by Director Training Mr. Tahir Bashir. The attendees showed great interest and it turned out to be quite an interactive webinar through a dynamic question and answers session. Mr. Neville Gaunt, concluded the session saying he is overwhelmed by the response and interest YP2G has been receiving from various Universities in Pakistan to engage their students and faculty members to develop positive Can Do Attitude. He thanked PHEC Chairman Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI for taking this initiative and embracing technology to reach out the wider audience through webinar platform.
Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI, added that developing the positive attitude is directly linked to the overall productivity and performance of the organization. He also highlighted the importance of keeping yourself abreast with the latest management practices, and appreciated that such educational and informational webinars should occur more often to bring the Pakistani faculty up to the speed with global best practices, and PHEC is going to provide knowledge dissemination facility to faculty and students with an ease of attending webinars from the comfort of their own office space and /or homes.
